Vietnam International Book Fair - Exhibition IV – 2012 is held every 2 years by the Ministry of Information & Communication and becomes even more meaningful when this year it was held on the very occasion of the 60-year Celebration of Vietnam Book Publishing-Printing-Issuing Industry (1952-2012). This event attracts many publishers; printing firms; book publishing companies in the country and abroad; publishing associations in Asia-Pacific, South East Asia, Poland, Cuba, China, and the NLV to join and exhibit. The Korean Cultural Center donated 500 books to the National Library of Vietnam

In the morning of 2nd August 2012, at the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) – Nguyen Du, Hanoi, Mr. Keum Gi Hyung – Director of the KCC has donated 500 bilingual books Viet-Korea “Sự tích Hồ Gươm” to the NLV. The exhibition “The Special Relation of Vietnam – Laos, 1962-2012” in Vientiane, Laos

On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relation Establishment and 35th Anniversary of Treaty on Amity and Cooperation Signing Event of Vietnam – Laos, on 17th July, 2012, the exhibition “The Special Relation of Vietnam – Laos, Laos – Vietnam 1962 – 2012” was held at Cayson Phomvihan Museum – Vientiane – Laos. With more than 400 images, documents, artifacts and books which are typically chosen from Archive Centers of two Parties, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Cayson Phomvihan Museum, History Museum, the National Library of Vietnam and the ministries of two countries have vividly reflected about the special, loyal, pure, and exemplary relation which have greatly been nurtured, and it is an invaluable asset of both countries Vietnam and Laos.
