In the morning of February 14, 2012, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Party held a meeting to review its activities in 2011 and launch tasks for 2012.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyễn Hải Đường – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Agencies, representatives from Department of Propaganda and Training, Board of Public Relations, Supervisory Committee of the Party Committee of Central Agencies; Mr. Lê Khánh Hải - Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Party, Mr. Lê Sĩ Thạch - Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Party branch Ho Chi Minh city and all secretaries and members of the Party executive committee of departments and agencies under the MoCST.
At the meeting, Mr. Lê Anh Thơ presented a report to review the MoCST’s party activities in 2011, tasks and plans for 2012 which highlighted achievements in 2011 of the MoCST’s party such as effective implementation resolutions and instructions of the Central Party and its superior party committee: resolutions of the 11th Party Congress, instructions, resolutions and written guidances of the Party to build the united bloc for well performing all MoCST’s political tasks on culture, sports, tourism and family, election of the 13th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels term 2011 – 2016. The report also emphasized that professional works in every field maintain general stability and better meet the industry requirements. In 2011, the MoCST’s party has well performed the task of building the party contingent with 174 new party members during the year.
The meeting also received direct guidances of the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Agencies on the 4 key issues: (i) to research and effectively implement the Central Resolution number 4 on building the party contingent; (ii) to improve more strongly quality of the regular meetings in each Party's grassroots organizations; (iii) to strictly follow the 2012 work plan and strengthen the inspection and supervision and (iv) to well perform the task of training and retraining staff members, etc.
Many ideas from representatives of the superior parties, grassroots parties, party cells have high appreciated achievements of the MoCST’s party in implementing key tasks, enhancing position and role of the MoCST’s party for pushing up the fulfilment of political tasks of the MoCST.
The meeting has also reached the consensus on the 5 orientations and tasks for the year 2012: (1) Leading the implementation of the MoCST’s political tasks, (2) Leading the ideological and political work and implementation of resolutions and instructions of the central party, (3) Leading the task of building the party contingent, (4) Leading the inspection and supervision, (5) Leading operations of the mass organizations.
Also at the meeting to review activities of the MoCST’s party 2011, the MoCST’s Party committee has awarded the certificates of merit to:
- 68 Parties and party cells meeting the standard “Party of clean and strong” in 2011
- 17 Parties and party cells meeting the standard “Typical Party of clean and strong” in 2011
- 03 party cells and 01 Party meeting the standard “Typical Party of clean and strong” in 3 continuous years (2009-2011)
- 35 party members meeting the standard “Eligible Party member to complete outstandingly the tasks” in 3 continuous (2009-2011).
- 25 certificates of merit for party members of party cells under the MoCST’s Party meeting the standard “Eligible Party member to complete outstandingly the tasks” in 2011.
For the National Library of Viet Nam in particular, the year 2011 marked the 6th continuous years receiving the certificate of merit for meeting the standard “Typical Party of clean and strong” with high appreciation of the MoCST’s Party and the Party Committee of Central Agencies for its excellent operation and development of the party in grassroots levels.
