On October 3 2011, the National Library of Vietnam (NLV) has successfully organized library readers’s Conference in 2011.
The Conference is an opportunity for librarians and library readers to directly exchange with each other, hereby to master contributed ideas and opinions related to the library services in general as well as library users’demands on library services and information resources available at NLV.

At this meeting, the NLV has received nearly 30 direct comments from generations of library readers: scientists, researchers, students, retired people whom have become friendly readers of NLV for years.

The contributed opinions at the Conference focused in information resources, library collection, librarians’behaviour supporting readers etc. Besides that, many opinions expressed at the Conference were appraisal, encouragement, appreciation and sharing their sympathy to librarians whom daily silent serve the society to make a contribution to industrialization and modernization of the country.

At the end of the Conference, Mr.Dang Van Uc – Deputy Director of the NLV has expressed his sincere thanks to library readers for their enthusiasm, recored all contributed opinions and ideas, and on that basis, the NLV will develop an action plan, proposing practical solutions, continuously improving the quality and efficiency of social services.
