In celebration of the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s departure to the world to seek suitable pathways for the country’s salvation and the 121st birthday anniversary of him and welcome the 13th National Assembly and People’s Council elections at all levels for the 2011-2016 term, in the morning of May, 18th, the National Library of Vietnam (NLV) held a documentary exhibition on “65-year National Assembly of Vietnam”.

In this exhibition, over 600 typical materials among almost 2 million NLV materials about National Assembly and President Ho Chi Minh have been introduced to the public. Besides, some precious documentary films about “65-year National Assembly of Vietnam” presented by Ms. Tong Thi Phong, member of the Political Bureau and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, films about the life of President Ho Chi Minh and National Assembly of Vietnam provided by Vietnamese Film Institute and Centre for Documentary and Scientific Films have also been displayed at the exhibition.
Materials at the exhibition are displayed in three parts:
- Part 1: From Tan Trao People’s National Congress to the birth of the National Assembly of Democratic Republic of Vietnam (16/8/1945-16/8/1946).
- Part 2: National Assembly and the cause of national liberation and unification (1946-present).
- Part 3: 12 election terms of National Assembly
This is a chance for domestic and oversea readers and public to further understand about the overal picture of National Assembly of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, about the abundant content of these materials storaged at the National Library of Vietnam
The exhibition will take place until May 25, 2011
