On 23rd January 2013, the National Library of Vietnam held a conference to review the works of 2012 and implement the direction, tasks in 2013.
The Conference summarized and evaluated the works and the achievements in 2012 which National Library of Viet Nam achieved, through implementation of the content of emulation “Solidarity, dynamic, creativeness, promoting general synergy, overcome challenges to develop the culture, sports and tourism and families sustainability and effectively” launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Viet Nam (MoCST); and “Inheriting the tradition, building the modern library towards the 95th Anniversary of the National Library of Viet Nam” launched by the library.
Accordingly, in 2012, the National Library of Viet Nam has successfully completed the services of political propaganda; organized successfully the 95th Anniversary and received the First Class Independence Order; promote collecting the additional publications through depository acquisition; improve the effectiveness of the professional works; continue to implementing the slogan “All for the readers” with specific and active solutions to introduce, advertise the image in order to attract social communities to extract information; expand international co-operation in the field of library oriented the MoCST;
Strictly implemented of the direction of the MoCST in implementing the Government's Resolution 11 on restraining inflation, stabilizing the macro economy, ensuring the social security; responding to the new rural construction program launched by the MoCST, effectively implemented the social works of the library activities; the building Party works and activities of the library have been improved and promoted the role of each Party member etc.
The Trade Union activities of the library have achieved many encouraged successes. Since the early 2012, working in a positive atmosphere to celebrate 95th Anniversary of the library, with the determination to promote the professional activities and focus on the key tasks; the library launched 13 Trade Union Units signed in the covenant to emulate and promote image of the library image as well as officials whom are not only good at the library profession but also active, well learning and proper behavior. With the activeness, Trade Union of the National Library of Viet Nam is honor to receive the Emulation Flag, 3 individuals were awarded the Merit of the Trade Union of Viet Nam.
The Youth Union activities of the library are always taken care by the leaders of the Party Committee, leaders of the library; youth members of the library have been promoting the spirit of youth enthusiasm, initiative and efficiency in the tasks assigned, successfully completed the duties and received the Merit from the Minister
To achieve these encouraging achievements, first of all, it due to the care and direction of the leaders of the MoCST; assistance, facilitation of other agencies under the Ministry, function Units and related agencies and organizations as well; the determination of the leadership, highly consensus, collective of officials and staff of the National Library of Viet Nam.
Also at the Conference, the Library has set orientations and tasks in 2013 with a number of key contents such as: Focus on creating a strong step forward in the works; Promoting innovations and improvements on library profession activities; effectively using the public investment, strengthening self-discipline and responsibilities to serve the people of the officials and staff; applying feasible solutions to overcome the shortcomings of the year 2012. In the context of the general economic situation is more difficult, leadership, officials and staff have been, being and will always strive for the National Library of Viet Nam becoming the place of transmission knowledge and inspiration and where the people is trust, friendly of readers at home and abroad.
In the afternoon of the same day, the National Library of Viet Nam implemented the Conference to conduct the review of the Party in 2012. Presented at the Conference, there was Mr. Le Anh Tho, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of MoCST; In 2012, the Party of the library directed and oriented the directly under units actively doing researches, thoroughly implement the directions, plans, guidelines from the Party Committee of the MoCST. Party’s members of the library participated in the academic conference thorough overview the Central Resolution 3 and 4 (XI). Successfully conducted the General Conferences of the 3 Party cells and elected more delegates for the period 2012-2015; stepping up the inspection and supervision of the regular meetings, the Party cells actively implemented of criticism and self-criticism, contributing to enhance the sense of responsibilities of the Party members to ensure disciplines of the Party. 01 Party cell was rewarded the title The clean, strong and typical Party Cell and 03 Party units were rewarded the title The clean, strong and typical Party units at the grassroots level and 13 individuals were rewarded the title The Party members who are eligible and completed the outstanding tasks.
