An exhibition entitled ‘The Vietnamese Communist Party through its Congresses’ opened at the National Library in Hanoi on January 11. The exhibition at the National Library of Vietnam also welcomed the 11th Party Congress and marked the 81st founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Presented at the exhibition:
- Mr Huynh Vinh Ai, Vice Minister of the Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam
- Mr. Nguyen Khoa Diem – former Politburo member, head of the Party Central Committee’s Ideology and Culture Commission, former Minister of the Culture and Information (the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism at present)
- Mr. Do Kim Cuong – Director of Department for Culture and Arts of the Commission for Propaganda and Education of the Party’s Central Committee
- Mr. Nguyen Kiem – Director General of Publishing Department, Ministry of Information and Communication.
- Mr. Nguyen Huu Gioi, Vice Director of Library Department, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism
- Mr. Pham The Khang – Vice President of Vietnamese Library Association
- Mrs. Phan Thi Kim Dzung – Director of the National Library of Vietnam
- Vice Directors, Head and staff of the Divisions of the National Library of Vietnam
The exhibition displayed more than 800 typical items, more than 50 photographs selected in a massive knowledge treasure of the National Library of Vietnam, most of which had been published into books, magazines and newspapers; especially documentaries and photographs are seen as extremely important evidence for doing researches about the Party and President Ho Chi Minh from the early twentieth century to the present.
The exhibition entitled “The Vietnamese Communist Party through its Congresses” provides Vietnamese readers and public in foreign countries deepen understanding of the glorious Vietnamese Communist Party and great president Ho Chi Minh via book series, encyclopedias, written works, press clipping, documentaries, photos etc. for the next generations proud of generations’ struggles of resilient communists, that have laid down their lives for national independence, for more precious and love in order to do the best for a prosperous country.
The National Library of Vietnam is in honor to convey since thanks to National Film Institute, Central Scientific Film and Documentary Firm, National Politic Publishing House, Publishing Department, Thang Long Book House and Mr. Nguyen Khoa Diem.
The exhibition will last January 1, 2011.
