In the morning of 26th December 2012, at the National Library of Viet Nam (NLV), the exhibition “Dien Bien Phu in the air victory through the materials at home and abroad” has opened.
Presented at the exhibition, Mr. Nguyen Kiem – Vice Standing President of Vietnamese Publishing Association, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Bao – Deputy Director General of Publishing Directorate, Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC), Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai – Director of the Library Department, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MoCST), Mr. Pham The Khang – President of Vietnamese Library Association; representatives from the General Department of Politics, Ministry of Defense. From the NLV, there were Dr. Le Van Viet – Deputy Director, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dung – Deputy Director, Mrs. Kieu Thuy Nga – Deputy Director, officials and staff from the Divisions. There were also representatives from central and local news agencies in Hanoi.
Exhibition presents more than 600 documents including books, newspapers, press clippings, pictures which are variety in types and content of the 12 days and nights of the Hanoi People's Army against the bombing of the U.S Air Force bombardment. Exhibition “Dien Bien Phu in the air victory through materials at home and abroad” enables readers and public to have deeper and comprehensive understanding of the great victory of the Army and People in Hanoi in particular and the nation in general.
The exhibition takes place from 26th December to 31st December 2012 the National Library of Vietnam, 31 Trang Thi Street, Hanoi.
