On May 5th, 2012, Pakistan Ambassador in Vietnam, Mr. Shahid M.G. Kiani has directly awarded two titles “Pakistan Folk Stories” and “The tales of Pakistan Children” with 300 books for National Library of Vietnam (NLV) and other libraries in Vietnam.
This is the second time that the Ambassador himself has given books to NLV and other libraries in Vietnam with the hope that these books will be brought to young readers in Vietnam, especially those who are in difficult areas.
Speaking at the books reception, Mrs Phan Thi Kim Dun - the representative of Vietnam’s libraries, the Director of NLV, sent a special thank to the Embassy of Pakistan in Vietnam, the Ambassador, and the books’ author who have given books to Vietnam’s libraries, created conditions for Vietnamese young readers to learn more about Pakistan culture, country, and people, and contributed to cement the friendship of Vietnam-Pakistan.
Also in the reception, Mrs. Phan Thi Kim Dung said that the entire received books in this 1st time have been moved to 29 units in the public library system, and the books in the 2nd time will be moved to other unites who have not been given from the 1st time.
