The Director of the National Library of Viet Nam has attended the Annual partner meeting of the World Digital Library at the Library of Congress, Washington D.C., USA on 5th December 2012 according to the invitation letter of the Director of the World Digital Library. There were about 60 leaders and representatives representing for over 30 libraries, archives agencies and museums etc. in 24 countries all over the world.

World Digital Library launched in 2009, managed by the Library of Congress, funded by UNESCO, and currently has 165 partners from 77 countries, including many national libraries, archives agencies and museums etc. all over the world. The world digital library currently has 6,722 items; content contributed by 89 partners from 45 countries on website www.wdl.org.
During the time in Washington D.C., delegation from the National Library of Viet Nam have also attended the International Summit of the Book at the Library of Congress, had meeting with experts, partners, colleagues and visit the Library of Congress.
