Nearly 8 years ago, in 2016, the National Library of Viet Nam and Samsung Vina Electronics Company officially opened the S.hub Sharing Space to meet the increasing demand of the capital's youth for a modern space for learning and sharing knowledge.
S.hub Sharing Space is seen a perfect model in combining technological equipment and library’s knowledge resources and oriented activities, built on three factors: modern space and high-tech equipment; online exchange space; space for organizing thematic activities.
After many years of operation, by combining high-tech equipment and the library's knowledge resources to optimize the learning space, S.hub has brought wonderful experiences of an open space, helping young people have more passion for research and inspire ideas for creativity.
In 2024, in order to better meet the individual learning needs and at the same time provide a more modern space for exchanging and sharing knowledge for young people, the National Library of Viet Nam and Samsung Electronics Viet Nam have cooperated to upgrade and innovate the S.hub Sharing Space.
By changing facilities and supplementing such equipment as computer systems, sound, projection screens, smart TVs... S.hub Sharing Space has had a new look - an open and modern space, suitable for every need, including: Personal Area for self-study, reading; Group Discussion Area to share ideas or study with friends; Seminar Area to listen to new projects, as well as experience competitions, interesting talk shows, etc.
Hopefully in the future, S.hub Sharing Space will be an ideal meeting place for the NLV's readers to access knowledge resources, exchange ideas, make discussion, inspire creativity and develop reading culture, etc.
On the same day, at the S.hub Sharing Space, a talk show with the theme “Reading books: Why be skeptical?” conducted by MC, journalist Phan Dang attracted hundreds of students to participate. From the speaker’s sharing, young people had the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of reading, thereby seeing that reading books is also a process of self-discovery, because each book brings readers a different topic and field, helping us develop in-depth thinking and self-understanding through reading. This is the opening talk show for a series of diverse inspirational activities taking place at the new S.hub Sharing Space in the near future.
Also within the framework of the event, the game show “Searching for knowledge” for secondary school and high school students took place in the seminar area. The game show brought interesting and useful experiences through games, helping students improve their thinking ability, the ability to improvise in front of a crowd, and increase their understanding in many cultural and social fields, etc.
