In the afternoon of 9th June, 2015, at the National Library of Vietnam (NLV), Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MoCST) has announced the decision to appoint to the position of Director of the NLV. Mr. Nguyen Van Tan, Member of Personnel Committee, Director of Personnel and Organization Department – MoCST has come and granted the decision. At the ceremony, under the authorization of Party Committee, Mrs. Le Thi Phuong, Deputy Director of Personnel Committee, Deputy Director of Personnel and Organization Department – MoCST has announced a decision to appoint Mrs. Kieu Thuy Nga to act as the Director of the NLV when Mrs. Phan Thi Kim Dung are retired on full pay.
On behalf of the Ministry, Mr. Nguyen Van Tan, Member of the Personnel Committee, Director of the Personnel and Organization Department - MOCST has highlighted the outstanding contributions of Ms. Phan Thi Kim Dung, former Director during her working period. Besides, he also congratulated and assigned the new Director of the NLV with mission to continue to inherit the fine tradition of the NLV, promoting the achievements gained over the years, unifying the organization, upholding responsibility, striving to complete the assigned tasks excellently, taking the NLV’s operation to the next level.

Speaking at the ceremony, the new Director of the NLV expressed her deep thanks to the leaders of the MoCST; Department of Personnel and Organization; Party committee, Board of Directors, all Library officials, especially Mrs. Phan Thi Kim Dung, the former Director for trusting, supporting, creating opportunities and assisting her throughout the past years. At the same time, she promised to bring out her heart and mind, strengthen solidarity,and overcome all difficulties and challenges, along with the leaders and employees of the Library to make the NLV grow day by day.
