Following the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the National Library of Vietnam partners with the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library to organize the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2026 with the theme: "KNOWLEDGE FLOW - From Book Pages to Digital Spaces".

This is not just a journey of receiving knowledge. It is a journey to create, share, and spread the value of knowledge. It also shows the strong update and continuation of reading culture in the community.

Following this theme, we have designed many meaningful and interesting activities. We promise to bring rich and memorable experiences to our guests, readers, and the public.

The exhibition has 5 parts: (1) Source of Flow; (2) Spreading Flow; (3) Creative Flow; (4) Digital Flow; (5) Connection and Experience Flow. By using these "flows," the exhibition introduces typical books and documents. It highlights the history of books and knowledge. The goal is to honor reading, make people aware of the role of knowledge, and inspire a passion for reading and lifelong learning. More than just showing books, the exhibition creates a space for connection and experience. Here, people can access knowledge in many ways. This proves that knowledge and creativity are key drivers for human and social development in the digital age.

This is a forum to talk about the reading habits and needs of young people today, as digital technology grows fast. The boom of the internet, social media, and digital platforms has greatly changed how people, especially the youth, get information. In this talkshow, speakers and young people will discuss new reading trends and how to choose the right books and information. They will also talk about: what young people should read to improve their minds and skills; and how to balance quick reading online with deep reading from books.

This activity brings together famous publishers like the National Political Publishing House Truth, The Gioi (World) Publishers, and Kim Dong Publishing House. This is a chance for authors to share their inspiration, messages, and deep meanings behind their books. This helps readers experience books in a real and rich way. It builds a strong knowledge ecosystem where reading becomes a natural need in society.

This is a fun cultural and educational playground that encourages students to use English. In each performance, students do not just tell a story. They use their language, feelings, and expression to deliver meaningful messages creatively. Through lively storytelling, students can practice English communication, build confidence, and improve pronunciation. This helps them get better at English and build skills for their future studies.

"Telling Stories with AI" shows that technology does not replace reading. Instead, it opens new ways to approach, feel, and share books. The message is: Every book can be told in a more lively, creative, and friendly way for all ages with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This activity honors the connection between traditional reading and modern technology. It looks toward a future where books keep their core value, while AI helps spark imagination and inspire lifelong learning. The contest is held online. The Award Ceremony will be livestreamed on the National Library of Vietnam's Facebook Fanpage on April 18, 2026.

This contest encourages students to show their personal views on the role of science and technology today. Technology is often seen as dry numbers or devices. However, through art and creativity, technology can be shown in a friendly, lively, and colorful way. Through this contest, students can combine logical thinking with art. It proves that science and technology can go hand in hand with humans to preserve and spread cultural values.

This activity encourages students to use their knowledge and recycled/eco-friendly materials to design Community Book Stations. These are like "smart mini libraries" that combine reading spaces with technology. Through this, students practice creative thinking and problem-solving. It encourages the youth to build knowledge spaces for the future, bringing reading culture to every home.

This gives students a chance to directly join the process of making a book. A small thread does not just sew paper pages together; it is a line that connects knowledge and creativity. These simple experiences help spark a love for reading. It helps children realize that learning about the world can start from very small things, opening many chances to explore a bigger world of knowledge.

With the spirit of connection and sharing, the "Book Exchange Station" creates a space for books to continue their journey to new readers. This is not just a simple exchange. It is a meeting place for book lovers to connect, practice green living, and extend the life of every book. Here, everyone who gives a book will receive another one in return.

This activity is organized to share books from the National Library of Vietnam, publishers, and kind donors. Books will be given to libraries facing difficulties, especially public libraries, school libraries, and cultural centers in remote areas. The Organizing Committee wants to support these libraries to narrow the knowledge gap and spread reading culture in the community.

This area introduces many books in different fields: literature, history, science, technology, education, life skills, and children's books. Here, readers and the public can buy their favorite books at discount prices and get attractive gifts from publishers. This creates a lively atmosphere for the event.

For the first time, a highly emotional experience is introduced as a creative highlight of the program - Flashmob Read 2026. Going beyond traditional activities, this event opens a space where reading is perfectly combined with music and movement. In that shared rhythm, each book becomes a lively source of inspiration, helping to awaken a love for books in the community.
