On January 6 of the lunar calendar (02/08/2011) National Library of Vietnam hosted the spring meeting and the signing of the agreement emulation for executives and officials on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Cat (2011)

Were attended by leaders from the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism: Minister Hoang Tuan Anh, Deputy Minister Huynh Vinh Ai; Director of Personnel Department Nguyen Phuc Thanh, Director of Emulation and Commendation Department Nguyen Hai Anh, Deputy Directors and staff of the National Library of Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting in the New Year, representatives of the MoCST – the Minister Hoang Tuan Anh showed the wishes for good health to the whole officials and staff to recognize the efforts of the National Library of Vietnam in recent time. Besides, the Minister appointed the task for the National Library of Vietnam in the next years to build up a modern and dynamic Vietnam National library to meet the demand of studying, enjoying culture, science and technology of people, deserving to be the center of the whole country, deserving to be the history, tradition of nearly 100 years of the National Library of Vietnam, trying efforts for National Library of Vietnam to achieve the title of “the heroic agency in the new era”

On behalf of the National Library of Vietnam, Director Phan Thi Kim Dung expressed deep thanks to the Ministry leadership, especially Minister Hoang Tuan Anh, Deputy Minister Huynh Vinh Ai, Head of Departments, Bureaus belonging to the Ministry have created good conditions for the National Library of Vietnam completed tasks assigned in time, concurrently disseminating common planning, professional works, as well as the Party tasks at National Library of Vietnam in 2011.
Also at the meeting in the new year, the Trade Union of the National Library of Vietnam launched the agreement emulation with the name: “Trying efforts to build up the National Library of Vietnam to the orientation: “Tradition – Modern – Digital Library, creating the friendly environment for people to read and study in the whole life” including five contents adhere to the library’s main tasks in 2011:
1. Strive to accomplish the tasks before term in 2011 with the best quality and efficiency.
2. Preserve and promote the image of officials: dynamic, dedicated and friendly.
3. Maintain and preserve the title of the Party Committee integrity and exemplary.
4. Strengthen the activities of the Youth Union.
5. Building a working environment safe and orderly.
