National Library of Viet Nam organizes a Documentary Exhibition entitled "50 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament"

Commemorating 50 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament (1969-2019), with the consent of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MoCST), on August 22, 2019, the National Library of Viet Nam (NLV) solemnly held the Documentary Exhibition entitled "50 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament".

Attending the exhibition were Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy - Member of Civil Affairs Committee, Deputy Minister of  the MoCST; Mr. Nguyen Duc Tai - Director of the Department of General Affairs, Officer of the Party Central Committee; Mr. Phung Minh Cuong - Deputy Permanent Secretary of the MoCST’s Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Linh - Director General, Chairman of the MoCST's Trade Union; Mr. Pham Quoc Hung - Deputy Director of the Library Department, Mr. Nguyen Huu Gioi - President of Vietnamese Library Association; Ms. Kieu Thuy Nga - Director of the National Library of Viet Nam, together with leaders and representatives of agencies, boards, ministries and central branches in Ha Noi, libraries and information centers, news agencies, press and television, the public and readers.

More than 700 typical documents have been selected to exhibit in 4 contents: President Ho Chi Minh: Life - Career; Testament of President Ho Chi Minh: Content, meaning and historic values; Achievements after 50 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament; Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example. The exhibition presents a comprehensive introduction about the life, revolutionary career, ideology, morality and lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh during the 79-Spring journey. This is an opportunity for readers and people from all over the country to learn more about President Ho Chi Minh since his childhood until his endless years searching for a way to save the country, and returned to lead the Vietnamese revolution to fight for the government, gave birth to the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam which is now the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam - the first industrial and agricultural state in Southeast Asia. The exhibition also introduces many documents related to the core contents of the Testament, the achievements that our Party and people have achieved in protecting and unifying the country, constructing the economy, developing the society after 50 years implementing His testament. Especially, the exhibition showcases the contents of President Ho Chi Minh’s autograph in the spiritual revised and supplemented Testament, which addresses the key issues that our Party and people must grasp to ensure the completion of the revolutionary career in each particular stage, at the same time, the exhibition reflects in a most focused manner the thoughts, morality and affection of Him for the people of Viet Nam and international friends.

The legacy that President Ho Chi Minh left for life is the "Ho Chi Minh Era" with the spirit of independence, resilience, and the historical enduring Testament of Him will always be the inspiration for our whole Party and people to continue implementing well the Testament, building our Party more and more clean and strong, our country is increasingly developed and prosperous.

The exhibition time is from August 22 to September 20, 2019, at the National Library of Viet Nam, 31 Trang Thi St., Hoan Kiem Dist., Ha Noi.
