Conference on deploying the working plan of culture, sports and tourism sector in 2012

On 9th February 2012, at Tuan Chau Island, Ha Long, Quang Ninh province, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam (MoCST) organized Conference on deploying the working plan of culture, sports and tourism sector in 2012.

Attending the Conference were Mr.Nguyen Thien Nhan – member of the Central Party, Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh - Minister of MoCST; Mr. Huynh Vinh Ai – Vice Minister, Mr.Ho Anh Tuan – Vice Minister and representatives from the Ministries and  Departments, Agencies under the MoCST.

The MoCST has implemented the central tasks, keen on improving national management’s effectiveness, following the realities, resolving the limitations, making movements on strategic objects of the cultural, sports and tourism sector, achieved encourage achievements on culture, high score sports, tourism, cinema, fine arts, photography and exhibition, state management on families etc. Especially, in 2011, Vietnam. Especially, in the year 2011, Vietnam has many cultural sites been recognized as cultural heritage such as Citadel of Ho Dynasty (Thanh Hoa), Xoan singing (Phu Tho). Movement on the whole population united to build cultural life is promoted and improved on quality, coherence with building the new rural areas program.

In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan praised the achievements in the field of culture, sport and tourism in 2011. He also directed the central objectives of the sector in the following years: focus on the synchronous implementation of approved strategies; focus on basic tasks, leaps on the intensification of initiatives, the co-ordination sectors in the development by expressing the multi-disciplines, the interdisciplinary, providing an exact timeline for each strategy, build the program of international integration in the field of culture here until 2020; planning festivals throughout the country, develop the policy to treat well the artists, develop tourism associated with the environment and improving the quality of services etc.

Minister Hoang Tuan Anh delivers his speech at the Conference

On behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism, Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh has reserved a warm welcome to opinion leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan and recommendations raised at the conference and 92 proposals and initiatives of delegates, representatives of cities and provinces. The Ministry will immediately solve the problems within its jurisdiction, and proposed to the Government and the Prime Minister to discuss and resolve issues concerning the activities of the sector. In addition, the minister cited 11 core missions and 19 key tasks that the sector of culture, sport and tourism must run in the year 2012.

With the efforts of all officials and staff in 2011, the National Library of Vietnam has been highly appreciated by the Emulation commission of the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism and has become one among 14 collectives receiving the Government's emulation flag handed over by Minister Hoang Tuan Anh for excellently executed in all aspects missions and spearheaded the patriotic emulation movement in the area of culture, sport and tourism in 2011.
