On the 40^th anniversary of Viet Nam – Argentina diplomatic relations (1973-2013), Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in cooperation with Ministry of Culture of the Argentine Republic organized a photos exhibition entitled "Eva Perón - Ambassador of Peace"and presentation of the book “The reason of my life” at the National Library of Viet Nam. The event is a part of the Argentine Cultural Week-long event in Viet Nam.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh - Director of the International Cooperation Department, Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh – Director of the Emulation and Rewards Department, the MoCST; Mr. Duong Van Quynh – Director of the Viet Nam Exhibition Centre for Art and Culture, Mrs. Phan Thi Kim Dung - Director of the National Library of Viet Nam, Mrs. Monica Guari Glio - Director of the Policy Coordination and International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Culture of the Argentine Republic; Mr. Claudio Ricardo Gutiérrez - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Viet Nam, Mr. Gabrienl Miremont - Director for the Art of Evita Museum, Mr. Santiago Regolo – Coordinator of Evita Museum, and representatives from Embassies, international organizations and diplomatic missions in Hanoi, central agencies, Viet Nam - Argentina friendship Association, artists from the Viet Nam and Hanoi Art Associations, etc.

The exhibition "Eva Perón - Ambassador of Peace" introduces photographs and books about Eva Perón, one of the most famous and influential celebrities in the history of Argentina; helping audiences have an insight into the most important political debates in the recent 65 years in Argentina. Besides, the exhibition also introduces typical translated materials of Argentina in Vietnamese and typical Vietnamese materials in Argentine in the field of Argentine history, politics, economics, culture as well as events and activities of the first President H.E. Mr. Juan Domingo Perón.

After the exhibition’s opening ceremony, a workshop to introduce the autobiography by Eva Perón "The reason of my life" published by The Gioi Publishing House was held. The autobiography focuses on ideological content and activities of Eva Perón during her short but profound time for political activity. This is considered the most typical theme of Perónism and of a period that has changed the nation Argentina. The book has been translated into Vietnamese and will be introduced to readers in the coming time.
This event and other activities of the Argentine Cultural Week in Viet Nam will bring to Vietnamese people interesting discoveries about the culture, people and beautiful Argentina, contribute to strengthen the understanding, solidarity and friendship relations between Governments and peoples of the two countries.

The photos exhibition "Eva Perón - Ambassador of Peace" will open until December 12, 2013.
