Gallery Exhibition “Enjoy Panama"

Since 1975, Vietnam and Panama have established diplomatic relations. Since then, the cooperation relationship between Vietnam – Panama has actively progressed. Two countries are constantly promoting the relationship regarding various fields, especially economy, trade, tourism, science-technology, and supporting both countries’ businesses in getting to know more about investment opportunities in the other markets, particularly focusing on the development of close cooperation in international organizations and multilateral forums.

On the occasion of 40 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Panama (28th August, 1975 – 28th August, 2015) and Panama’s 112th Independence Day (3rd November, 1903 – 3rd November, 2015). On 26th October, 2015, with the approval of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MoCST), the National Library of Vietnam coordinated with the Republic of Panama in Vietnam to host the Gallery Exhibition “Enjoy Panama”.

Attending the Exhibition, to Vietnam’s representatives, we are honor to have Mr Le Nhu Tien – Deputy Chairman of Congress’ Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Young Pioneers and Children; Mr Phung Minh Cuong – Permanent Deputy Secretary of Ministry Party Committee, MoCST; Mr Nguyen Huu Gioi – Chairman of Trade Union; Mrs Nguyen Phuong Hoa - Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department, MoCST; Mr. Pham The Khang – President of Vietnam Library Association; Mrs. Kieu Thuy Nga – Director of the National Library of Vietnam. To the co-organizing parties and international guests, we are honor to have Mr. Servio Sammodio – Ambassador of the Republic of Panama in Vietnam, with Ambassadors of countries from South America, Asia, Europe and many people who love Panama and its people…

With nearly 80 photographs displayed at the exhibition, the public and readers will have the opportunity to see another Panama that do not only have the well-known canal, but also fascinate people by the beauty of its landscape, history, culture, customs, and traditions. They are the green tropical forests, the diversity of wild animals, beautiful beaches and lovely islands, Panama Quarter, Cathedral Square, San Blas Island, the famous traditional houses in Bocas del Toro archipelago, the traditional hand-crafted products, and the colorful carnivals…helping people to learn more about the country, people, scenery, monuments, attractions of Panama.

The exhibition opens from 26th October, 2015 to 30th October at the National Library of Vietnam, 31 Trang Thi, Hoan Kiem, Ha Noi.
